How to recover data from a WD hard drive that is not accessible by Windows Explorer?

I have a 2TB WD hard drive that I connected to my Windows PC, but I cannot see any of the files on it. The device manager recognizes the drive and says it is working properly, but the disk management shows it as 'Not initialized' and 'Unallocated.' I cannot initialize or format the drive, as the options are greyed out. I also ran the chkdsk command, but it gave me an error message saying "cannot open volume for direct access."

I have some important data on the drive that I do not want to lose. I have attached some screenshots of the device manager, disk management, and chkdsk command output for reference. How can I fix this problem and access my files?

Some additional tips for rephrasing your question are:

- Use a clear and concise title that summarizes your main problem.

- Provide relevant details about your device, such as the model, capacity, and connection type.

- Explain what steps you have already tried and what results you got.

- Avoid using emoticons or informal language, as they may not be appropriate for a professional setting.

- Be polite and respectful, and thank the expert for their time and assistance.
